Parker Jumpsuit (on sale!) / Clare V Clutch / David Yurman (here and here) Miansai Screw Cuff (locally at Elle) / Louboutin Pumps / Prada Sunnies

A jumpsuit or a romper is my go to when I am feeling uninspired, since it instantly creates a look. I love the deep blue color of this Parker jumpsuit, the quilted shoulders, the drape sleeves, and the ruched legs. I have my eyes on this and this, and I think this romper will be perfect at the beach. For budget friendly picks, I love this white romper , this flirty red number , and this jumpsuit all under $100. I recently purchased this off the shoulder romper and can’t wait to wear it on date night!

IMG_2634YFB Maxi Dress (on sale!) / Free People Booties (on sale!) / Zara Jacket (old, similar here) / Prada Sunnies / Rebecca Minkoff Purse / Necklace (one of a kind, love this and this)

I have always considered my style to be feminine with an edge, so I was immediately drawn to this maxi dress. I love the simplicity of the silhouette but the cut out details give it the extra edge that captured my attention. This maxi dress is a great closet staple (especially on sale!) because it can be dressed up or down, and I can not wait to style it with these heels for a special occasion. Happy Monday!

Valentine’s Day at Home

Valentine’s Day has always been a holiday I just can’t completely get on board with. Do you exchange gifts? Do you make plans or do you wait on him? What if your significant other doesn’t get you something because he is taking you to a restaurant with an over priced fixed menu and knows he’s about to drop $200, but you show up with a perfectly wrapped gift box and feel like a real loser. WHAT DO YOU DO. Well I took matters into my own hands this year. I decided to surprise my man (early) with a fancy version of take out at home. It was so easy, affordable, and romantic.

I set up a small patio table by the fireplace, and threw an off white table cloth over it. I went to Trader Joes and picked up a small bouquet of roses and a bag of greenery. Let this be said, most men do not care about flowers. BUT it added so much and if you didn’t know flowers are personally one of my favorite things. I was able to create this centerpiece for under $10 and the smell of the eucalyptus leaves was well worth it! I fixed a drink tray so our dinner wouldn’t be interrupted, and I picked up Savelis here in Knoxville, because it is one of our favorite date night spots. The menu included bruschetta, spaghetti and meat balls, and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. It was nice to have such a special and romantic dinner at home. So if you don’t have plans yet this Valentine’s Day and want to beat the crowd, pick up your favorite take out and stage your very own private restaurant at home!

Tried the new donut shop, Makers Donuts, and it defiantly lived up to all the hype. The cherry pistachio was the prettiest with the pink glaze, but my favorite was the maple bacon.

Jcrew Coat (cheaper similar version, here) / Cashmere Sweater (on sale!) / J Brand Jeans / Dolce Vita Heels (on sale!) / Clare V Clutch

Last weekend, my boyfriend treated me to the most wonderful and romantic birthday weekend in the Highlands at Old Edwards Inn and Spa. We had amazing meals, enjoyed the spa (my facial there was amazing!), and drinks by the fireplace. The weather although beautiful, was brutally cold. I was so thankful I packed several layering pieces like this blush fur vest (on sale!), these fur mittens, and these faux leather leggings. I was so thrilled with the quality of this cashmere sweater from Nordstrom, that I ordered it in several other colors (I ordered size small). Shoes can be tricky in winter weather so I also recommend these fur boots (lived in these) and these snow boots. A few other favorites include this fur scarf (timeless and versatile), this cashmere beanie, and this oversize sweater (under $100!).

Vince Sweater (also here) on sale! (Obligato -local) / J Brand Jeans / Rebecca Minkoff Sneakers  (Sole in the City -local) / Jcrew Coat (sold out, similar here) / David Yurman / Prada Sunnies

For the most part, I defiantly reach for heals over flats and flats over sneakers no matter the occasion. Heels just have a way of boasting my confidence and making me feel sexy even if I haven’t washed my hair in days (guilty). However, I am beginning to embrace a more casual style and these Rebecca Minkoff fur sneakers from Sole in the City spoke to me. I love this monochromatic look and the white jacket pulls it all together and adds a polish touch. I have my eyes on these sneakers and plan on incorporating more casual, street style looks throughout the season. Happy Monday XX

Fur Jacket / Cream Sweater / J Brand Jeans (Obligato) / Stuart Weitzman Boots / Prada Sunnies / Chanel Bag

Real talk here. I love fur, and when given the option I usually always choose the real deal. However, I couldn’t pass up this fabulous faux fur by Show Me Your MuMu. I love the soft gray tones and the fit although boxy, doesn’t overwhelm your frame like some fur jackets can do. These over the knee boots are splurge worthy (more affordable pair here) and I can’t wait to style them with a feminine dress. Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. XX
